Point your camera at a card. Krane reads both sides and saves a contact you can call, email, or send to your CRM.
Free for 10 scans a week
How it works
Scan a card in three steps.
- 1
Snap
Hold the card up to the camera. Add the back as well and Krane reads both sides as one contact.
- 2
Read
Krane fills in the name, title, company, phones, emails, website and address. Add a tag, a note or a reminder if you want one.
- 3
Send
Save it to Apple Contacts or share it as a vCard. With Krane Pro, send it to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, or export a spreadsheet.
What Krane reads from a card
| Field | What you get |
|---|---|
| Name | The full name, plus a Latin spelling if the card uses another script |
| Job title | As printed on the card |
| Company | As printed on the card |
| Phones | The phone numbers on the card |
| Emails | The email addresses on the card |
| Website | The company or personal site |
| Address | The street address, when the card has one |
Details printed on the back, like a second phone number or an address, are read along with the front and saved in the same contact.
Cards in almost any language
Krane reads cards in almost any language and script, including Japanese, Chinese and Korean cards. When the name is written in a non-Latin script, Krane adds a Latin spelling next to it, so you can still read and search it later.
The app itself is in English, German, Japanese, French, Korean, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
It still reads cards with no signal
Conference halls, basements and planes often have no connection. Krane reads the card on your iPhone right away, so the contact is there before you put the phone back in your pocket. When you’re online again, Krane checks the card a second time.
Keep each card in context
A contact on its own doesn’t tell you much a week later. In Krane you can:
- start an event, so every card you scan there is filed under it, with where you met filled in
- add tags, a note about what you talked about, and a reminder to follow up
- scan someone twice and Krane flags it as a duplicate
Where the contact goes
On the free plan, save the contact to Apple Contacts or share it as a vCard. With Krane Pro you can also send it to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, or to Zapier, Make and n8n through a signed webhook. If the person is already in your CRM, Krane updates that contact instead of creating a duplicate. You can also export one event, or every card, as a CSV that opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.
No account to create
You don’t sign up for anything to use Krane. Your cards and CRM tokens are stored on your iPhone, and you can back everything up to a single file.
